I have one male/female pair of plain-breasted ground doves I am considering rehoming; I need to cut down on extraneous pairs as I am planning to move soon. Supposedly they are both just under a year old though not closed-banded. The male a beautiful, plump bird in perfect feather condition. The female, I discovered after receiving her, has no tail, as in the feathers were plucked out or broken too many times until they no longer grew back. As a result she is not an adept flier. When I first bought this "pair" from a local bird fair, I paid $300 and the birds wound up being two males despite the fact that the seller told me it was a male and female. I traded one of the males for a female and paid for shipping. Though I am losing a significant amount of money I am asking $250 for this pair due to the imperfections of the female. Delta Cargo shipping within US for flat rate of $185. I would prefer to not ship via USPS at present due to the heat.
